The QCA have published some general guidelines on developing the school's curriculum, including planning, monitoring, evaluation and review, and recognising pupil progress and achievement.

The developing skills section provides guidelines on developing skills across the curriculum. It explains and gives examples of key skills and thinking skills, and additional skills that may be priority areas of learning.

The subject sections provide support material to schools for planning learning opportunities and activities in the subject for pupils in each key stage. They include performance descriptions of early learning and attainment in the National Curriculum.

I've recently compiled a list of hundreds of resources supporting SEN which you can view by clicking here. Myles Pilling from Wiltshire LA and Alistair McNaught from Techdis provided most of the information and we have adopted the format used on the Techdis Site. We would be very interested to hear how you get on with these resources, so give them a go and feed back via the forums on this site - or email me on ian.southwell@swgfl.org.uk.
