First Language Spaces Acceptable Use Policy

Use the space below to contribute to a student-friendly explanation of what is and is not permissible within a shared space. The Document Library contains an example from Rush Common School, Abingdon.

"I can use the language name Merlin space for discussing and sharing ideas about:
  • life in the UK;
  • going to a British school;
  • school work;
  • my interests, hobbies, likes and dislikes;
  • my home country;
  • the future.

I will not use the space for:

  • discussing and comparing other named individuals (including family members, teachers, students and other users);
  • sharing personal details without the permission of my parent or guardian (including addresses, phone numbers and email addresses);
  • arranging to meet other users;

Additionally, I will not:

  • download viruses or do anything else that will damage the space or other users' computers;
  • place bad, insulting or abusive words in any language, inappropriate pictures or any other inappropriate material on the site.
