Welcome to Tavistock College Primary Languages

As a Specialist Language College, we are committed to supporting the National Language’s Strategy and are committed to helping our feeder primary schools achieve the following:

  • Ensuring children make progress throughout KS2 in line with the KS2 Framework for Languages.
  • Helping teachers to improve their own skills in the language so they are able to teach to a higher level.
  • Helping teachers to plan a curriculum that makes explicit links to literacy in English.
  • Supporting the transition between KS2 and 3 so that children experience a coherent languages curriculum from ages 7 to 14.
