We hope that you find the information on this site both informative and supportive in developing Early Years Foundation Stage provision within your setting/school.

Dear Practitioner,
Continual professional development is vital in order to ensure that high quality Early Years provision and practice is embedded and maintained.  Do look at the Sure Start training plan for 2012-13 www.earlyyearschildcare.org and www.schoolsonline.swindon.gov.uk  for CPD events (if you are in school).  Please take time to look at the training events available and identify priorities based upon your setting/school Improvement Plan and individual staff performance management objectives. 

Revised EYFS Training Events:
The training events will run in the summer term (term 6) with follow-ups in the autumn term.

Non-Maintained Settings: details of training events can be found on the Sure Start web site. Please note that there is a limit of up to four practitioners from each setting for attendance at these events. You will be required to bring copies of the revised EYFS with you.

Schools: details can be found on schools online or by contacting the CPD centre on: 818604.

The EYFS Validated Setting Self Review (VSSR) and School Self Review (SSR) materials can be found in the Leadership and Management tool folders for both non-maintained settings and schools.
