Take One Picture

In January 2010, the whole school took part in an Art theme week. We used the Take One Picture programme as a stimulus for our work. Take One Picture is initiated by the National Gallery, for further information see their website www.takeonepicture.org .

Each class chose a picture from the website to work on. They looked at the paintings closely and created many different pieces of art work including sculptures and weaving. The children have been able to develop their art skills and develop a love for art. Classes have put more information on their pages on the school website. It has proved a very popular theme week and we set up an Art gallery for parents to come and see the children’s work on Wednesday 27th January.
