2007/2008 Season
Mr Miah was very excited during this season’s trials. So many talented youngsters wanted to try out for a place in the school team that selection was very difficult.
Eventually a squad of ten players was selected. Each member of the squad brought a high level of individual skill. The challenge was to develop as a team and work together!
Mr Miah, with the support of Miss Trzeciak, Mrs Truman and Mrs Spurrett, coached and encouraged the boys There were matches against Abbey Meads, Blunsdon St Andrew, Cricklade St Samsons, Penhill, North View and Westrop.
The match againsy Bridlewood was cancelled. The biggest victory was a 7 – 0 win at Penhill when the team really came together.
At the end of the season the Catherine Wayte Primary School team were third in the league.
