Are you currently choosing a school for your child? Applications for places must be made via the Local Authority. Please contact the school if you would like to visit and see the children and staff at work.

We have vacancies in some of our existing classes. Families who are interested in places for 5 to 11 year old children are welcome to visit the school. We work with the admissions team within the Local Authority as they make decisions about allocation of places.  

Catherine Wayte Primary School was inspected by a team from OFSTED in September 2010. Staff and governors were delighted with the verbal and written feedback given.  We are an outstanding school! In March 2009, the school was awarded the Primary Quality Mark. We passed with flying colours and the assessors have provided external verification of our judgements about the school, describing our work as exemplary. We are a leading practice school for SEAL (Social and emotional aspects of learning). We have achieved 'Healthy Schools Status' and we have completed part 1 of the Anti-Bullying Accreditation.

Catherine Wayte Primary School is successful and popular. Our SATs results reflect the high standards achieved by our pupils. Behaviour is excellent and our children engage in learning with interest and enthusiasm. Swindon Borough Council has agreed that, from September 2008, our admission number will be 60: we will have two classes for each year group. We currently have 13 classes.
