As a department, it is our aim to direct and guide pupils in the development of their personal and physical skills, to contribute to the whole school aim of developing a sense of spirituality and to develop their interest and understanding of physical activity. This aim is informed by the school's mission statement in that we strive to enable each pupil to achieve excellence through positive affirmation and recognise that this is achieved in the midst of a Christian community.
St Augustine’s Catholic College is delighted to have been awarded 2nd Specialism in Sport and Physical Education. With the additional funding of £60,000 we aim to be central to whole school improvement as well as developing and sharing good practice within our feeder primary schools and partner secondary schools.
