| No | On 1st September 2011 Saint Edmund's became one of the first of North Wiltshire's schools to become an Academy. Considered as a very good school with some excellent features by OFSTED, the school has seen substantial success in maths, reading and writing, placing us within the top 25% of schools. The school is an all ability inclusive Academy within Clifton Catholic Diocese and a feeder school to St Augustine's in Trowbridge. The Catholic faith will remain central to the whole life of the Academy and all aspects of the curriculum. The Academy is committed to the development of the whole child and sees this wholeness in terms of Christ, the Perfect Man. Headteacher, Mike O'Keefe, sees the launch of the Academy as a means to ensure the continued success and improvement of the school.
