Updates 24th March 2012
Well done to everyone for such "eggscellent" easter egg designs - the ideas are original and absolutely outstanding. They will be on display in the classroom on Monday after school if you want to invite your mums and dads in to come and have a look.
Homework for the easter holidays is in the document library.
Activity 1: The Big Easter Read - your challenge is to read for at least 20 minutes on 11 different days during the easter break. There is a little activity that you need to complete after each reading session. It is vital that you write down the date and the pages read. Once back at school we will be sharing our reading experiences and recommending books and authors to others.
Activity 2: Story writing. See the document library. IT IS IMPORTANT THAT YOU ONLY SPEND 45 MINUTES COMPLETING THIS ACTIVITY - WORKING TO A TIGHT TIMEFRAME IS A REAL SKILL!
Year 6s - remember to continue to work through your maths revision workbooks. You are all doing really well so keep going!!!
HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE.

Updates 13 Feb 2012:
Year 6s - remember to keep up with your SATs revision timetable given to you on Friday! Be sure to thoroughly reflect on your learning and please make sure your mum or dad initials your timetable.
Many thanks to those parents who were able to attend the SATs meeting on Thursday 9th February. I'm sure that you found it useful, especially in view of the number of changes taking place this year regarding year 6 testing. For those unable to attend, a comprehensive handout was given to each child on Friday detailing how you can support them with their revision in order to make sure they achieve their full potential. This is also in the document library. Please can we ask for your continued support in ensuring that your child is reading ALOUD to an adult for at least 20 minutes each day with questions being asked to develop understanding of characters, plot an viewpoints. Please can you also make a quick note of any reading support given by initialling/commenting in your child's reading diary.
