Under the leadership of the Safeguarding Strategy Manager, the service provides quality assurance of the processes for compliance with safeguarding children requirements across agencies through the Local Safeguarding Children Board, coordination of any serious case reviews, independent quality audits of practice in respect of safeguarding and child protection, securing multi agency training in respect of safeguarding children, the independent chairing of child protection conferences, child protection and children in care reviews, statutory complaints, freedom of information and coordination of allegations management work across agencies.
