The sun is OUT!!!!!!!

Balloons at the Ballenburg museum
Sawing wood
Day 3 - Sunday
Today we visited the Ballenburg open air museum and got to explore inside lots of different Swiss houses. We saw cheese and chocolate being made, wood being carved, had a go at sawing wood and hammering nails into blocks to name but a few of our fun activities. The weather started to clear up later in the morning so we all got a glimpse of the snow capped mountains.

We also enjoyed spending some of our money on souviners in the shops!!!

Later on in the afternoon we visited an art exhibition. This was very 'unique' we saw flying sheep, stacks of washing machines and all sorts of weird and wacky items being used in unusual ways. The boys also had a laugh when visiting the toilets...

In the evening we all went down to the park again for some football and had play on the equipment before eating lots and lots of pizza.

Jonathan, Sofia and Julia then surprised us all, after our meal, with party games, a lottery and some fireworks!! What a brilliant last night... We have all had an amazing time and will be sad to leave.

Please think of us in the morning when we will be getting up bright and early, ready to catch our train at 7am. We will send you a message from school when we are at the airport :)

See you tomorrow afternoon xx

Day 2 - Saturday
After not very much sleep.... we woke up bright and early, to the sound of rain... :(, and got ready for our exciting day ahead.
We travelled by mini bus to the town of Lucern, where we caught a boat around the lake (not much of a view due to the rain, but we all had a brilliant time exploring the boat and drinking hot chocolate!!!!

After we got off the boat we travelled on the (world's steepest) cog wheeled railway. The views were amazing from the carridge, we couldn't believe how high we were (9,000 feet above sea level). Unfortunately the low cloud blocked our view of the alps. We still decided to go shopping.... and take a walk around the caves. A few of us got a little wet from falling into puddles, but generally enjoyed the walk.

After that, we travelled by gondala and then cable car down the mountain. We even saw some cows grazing on the mountain shaking their cow bells.

Due to the weather we didn't stop at the playground but decided to go to a transport museum instead. This was very similar to @bristol. We got to ride on scooters, drive diggers, play in a airplane and generally have fun!!! Unfortunately, whilst on the scooters a few of us didn't see the moat of water and decided to go for a swim (fully clothed!!!) luckily we had spare clothes with us.

In the evening we had spagetti and sauce with salad and bread rolls. After dinner we all sat down and watched a film (UP).

We are now having some hot chocolate and getting ready for bed...

Day 1 evening
After our visit to the lake we had an indoor BBQ - due to the rain :( and tasted lots of exciting Swiss food. Jonathan's class came to eat with us and we played lots of games after food including pancake races and tag rugby.

Some of us are now sat down watching the football, whilst others are relaxing and reading ready for bed.

It has been a very long but GREAT day.... can't wait till tomorrow.

Night night from Toby xx
A bit of sun in the evening!!!
